Panos's Marriage (part II)

The ceremony ended and now the new wedded pair invited us to celebrate their happy moments.

So here they are as the walking in the restaurant that we were waiting for them.The couple had to cut the wedding cake.

And the had to dance the first dance together.... as they did.

 

After they dance the first dance, it wa free for everyone to go up on the stage to dance with them.Here is the bride's father dancing.

We all dance as you can see. And we dance a lot!!!!!!!!

My uncle Kostas (Bridegroom's father) was throwing flowers to Katerina while she was dancing.
....and then Vaggelis stood up on the stage to show us what his got...!!!

No, no, she is only throwing the flowers to him, not the creel.
.....and when he saw all that flowers he started to do his things!!!!

He really likes to do that staff. 
Vaggelis wasn't the only one that did his staff.

The only thing that I would like to say is, just look at a closer look at Panos's face. He was so sweaty!!!!!....

And I can I understand him.... It was so difficult thing to do.....
And after all these, it was Panos's turn to stand up on the stage and dance alone.

He dance a kind of dance that is for MEN.
He did it great and as you can see from the pictures.

....but the Bride dance it too!!!!!!.

You'll see Vaggelis dancing a same kind of dance.

My uncle Kostas at the last photo is throwing flowers to Vaggelis.

Well I know that you are going to say: "Okay man. What's is the strange thing with that?"
Well if you look closer to the last photo you'll discover that the flowers are over for my uncle Kostas and because he wanted to throw some to Vaggelis he took all the whole vase from his table and started throw the stems of the flowers!!!!!!!!.
I wouldn't like to forget all the other members of our big family, so I made a collage of some photographs with some of them dancing.

Panos's Marriage (part I)

Here the cute George's daughter ready to stand next to th Bride and Bridegroom.

(when I first saw him walking to the church I thought that everything was okay, but he started filling dizzy  that's why his mother holding him!. As you can understand, all the things that is written in italic is just to tease Panos....)

(our custom say that the bride must come with a delay of a couple of minutes at the church just to make the bridegroom to wait for her).

He was a little anxious .... but he did it okay!.
....and here she is!!!!.

All the bridesmaids were throwing roses in front of the bride just to walk on them.

SHE WAS HAPPY!!!!!!!!!
(....and you'll discover it... she was laughing in every single photo I took of her).

The ceremony is just to begin.... so please be quit.

(Hey Panos, what's the matter?.... You look so tight! Did you remember that this is  the end of your freedom?!!!).

I thing that these are some tears of happiness from bride's mother.
And that is the moment we all are waiting for!!!!!

Isaiah dance!!!!

(When the priest say "Isaiah dance" the couple starts to walk in a circle for I think three times. At that part all the people are throwing rise to them. The rice pronunciation in the Greek language is very close to the word root. So we throw rice to the couple, so the make roots and live together for ever).

This is another HAPPY couple too.

"Making Panos's Bed..."

Right after the Basketball finals we went to my Uncle Kostas house.

Almost, all of the Giannakopoulos family where there, because, at Sunday, his son Panos, is getting married with Xenia.

Well there is a Greek tradition to everyone that is getting married to call his relatives and friends, the Thursday just before their marriage, to "make the bridal bed".

Some girls and women go to make the sheets and while they doing it someone goes and pulling the sheets just to make a mesh.

While all these things happeing, all the other that going to the bridal bedroom, they throw money on the bed.

Well we didn't catch these things because we went to the house a little late because of Vagelis's Basketball finals).

After we ate, there was dancing.

Here is my mother dancing with our new cousin Xenia.

Here is the youngest member of our family!!!

Aphrodite.

Aphrodite is Panos's niece. (George and Eva is her parents).

She is really cute, and she has changed a lot from the last time that we saw her!.Panos and Xenia dancing!He really knew some moves!!!!

I know that you are wondering why I'm writing those things.... I'm just teasing Panos because Dance is not one of his best things..... but he couldn't do anything else than dance because............... this dance was for his marriage!!!!....)Here is my Uncle Kostas (Panos's father) with Xenias's father..

Well do you know what Greek people do when they like the music and the dancing very mush? When they like the company that they where with them? When the enjoy the happiness of the guy that they are with?.....THEY BREAK PLATES!!!!!!!!!!!!
