VACATIONS ! at Milos island...

At 15th of July took our 10 days off so we can go for our summer vacations with our family.

So everything was ready and all of us exited to go to MILOS island.
As you can see fromthe next picture Milos island is a small (the sure thing is that it's not big).All started here! At our biggest harbor Piraeus.

At about 07:00 am we were at the harbor to take the ship that it would took us to Milos.

This picture is from the back side of the ship, as you can see the sun is just rising up.
This trip wasn't an express one. We had to stop to some other islands first.

Kithons, Serifos and Sifnos was the three islands that we had to stop.

Well after ...7 yes seven hours of voyage (there are some other much faster ships) we finally arrived to Milos island.

One of the first things that you going to see as you sailing to the harbor of Milos Island is the "Bears".

What are the "Bears"? Well "bears" called these two rocks that you see coming out of the water.
And right after that, you will see "Plaka" and "Tripiti", the two cities built at the top of the mountain.

"Plaka" is the biggest city at Milos island and "Tripiti" is a smaller one.

It is cery hard to understand where the first city ends and where the second begins, only one sign informs you that from that point is the other city!.
Right beneath that montain is "Klima".

"Klima" is the small houses that you see at the bottom of the mountain at sea level.

All these houses, back at the old days, they use them as "Fishing Boat Garages".

Yep!

Fishermen wanted something near the sea to protect their fishing boats from the windy weather.

So the built these small houses and "parked" their fishing boats inside them when the weather wasn't good.

Today they use them as houses and what is better than a house (even if it is a small one) that you can open the door and after a step you are in the sea water.


After that long trip to Milos we went to find our apartment.

We were very hungry and we thought that it was time to go out to a tavern to eat.

There were a lot of taverns next to the sea water.

Here is the table that we choose.

Just tell me, is it us that we were hungry or you getting hungry by only looking at this table....

it's not a Pizza!!!!

They called it "Ladenia" and they make it there.

It is made with bread, tomato, onion and olive oil.

JUST DELICIOUS!!!.
